About Parkland Place
Parkland Place is a clinically led, medically managed 40 bed detoxification service/centre based in Llandudno, North Wales. The service provides safe, structured detox for adults with substance use disorders, including individuals with additional complexity.
Building on the established provision at Hafan Wen, Parkland Place offers a modernised environment, increased capacity and strengthened clinical governance, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, dignity and planned onward care.
The service works closely with statutory and private referrers across Wales and England to support stabilisation and transition into ongoing treatment and recovery.

The process
STEP 1
An initial assessment will be conducted, typically a phone consultation.
STEP 2
During this assessment we will discuss any current challenges and outline the most suitable programme of treatment. This initial call usually takes around 30 minutes.
STEP 3
You will have an assessment review by our professional clinicians, You’ll also be free to request a GP Summary.
STEP 4
Once an admission date has been agreed, we will arrange for one of our drivers to collect you and bring you to our centre to begin treatment.

We are proud to be a fully medically managed facility.
Our team is comprised of a number of highly trained medical professionals, doctors and nurses, all with the same goal, to successfully aid and support your medically-managed detox.
Working alongside our medical staff, we have a skilled team of management and admin staff, recovery workers, chefs and cleaners; all working with commitment to recovery as a priority.

aFTERCARE
Detox at Parkland Place is delivered as part of a planned treatment pathway, not a standalone intervention.
Aftercare and onward support includes:
- Discharge planning from the point of admission
- Close liaison with referring agencies to ensure continuity of care
- Written discharge summaries and clinical recommendations
- Support with referrals into community services, rehabilitation or recovery support
- Signposting to wider health, housing and social support where appropriate
