Our Facilities & Environment

A Setting Designed for Healing

Recovery flourishes in the right environment. That’s why Parkland Place has been designed inside and out to give you the best possible conditions to heal.

Location

Set on the slopes of the Great Orme, Parkland Place offers something rare in clinical care: a setting of genuine natural beauty. Llandudno is one of North Wales’ most beloved coastal towns, renowned for its Victorian architecture, sweeping bay, and sense of calm.

From your room, you may look out over the coastline. During your stay, you’ll have access to woodland nature trails and wildlife areas that bring the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors into your daily routine weather and mobility permitting.

This is not just a location. It’s part of your recovery.

Facilities

Our 40-bed unit has been purpose-built to provide a safe, comfortable and clinical environment where recovery can truly take place.

Your Bedroom Every bedroom at Parkland Place is a private, en-suite room — a personal space where you can rest, reflect and restore. All rooms include fully accessible wet room facilities, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients with a wide range of needs.

High Dependency Care — Poppy Wing Our specialist Poppy Wing is a dedicated high dependency ward, equipped with hoist facilities in four specialist rooms. It provides enhanced nursing support for patients who require a higher level of clinical care during their detoxification.

Clinical Expertise Parkland Place offers extensive expertise in managing complex detoxifications — including ketamine detoxification — giving patients with more complex needs access to specialist care they may not find elsewhere.

Transport All transport to and from Parkland Place is provided, removing one more barrier between you and the care you need.

Therapeutic Wing Section

Recovery involves far more than managing physical withdrawal. That’s why Parkland Place is home to a dedicated therapeutic wing — a space designed to support your psychological, emotional, and social recovery alongside your physical health.

Art Studio Creative expression is a powerful tool in recovery. Our art studio provides a space to explore, process and create at your own pace.

Private Gym Physical wellbeing is central to recovery. Patients who are medically cleared can access our on-site gym as part of their programme.

Yoga and Meditation Space Stillness and breathwork support both mental clarity and physical restoration. Our dedicated yoga and meditation space is available as part of the therapeutic programme.

Rehabilitation Kitchen Particularly valuable for those living with alcohol-related brain disease, our rehabilitation kitchen provides a safe, supported environment to develop and practise independent living skills — helping you prepare for life after discharge.
